“No Mr Bond, I expect you to die!” The words of Auric Goldfinger, spoken way back in 1964. It has taken a long time. Very sad news about Sean Connery.
I think everyone has their own favourite Bond, probably the actor who introduced you to the world’s most famous secret agent in the first place. Personally mine is Roger Moore. My first Bond film was The Man with the Golden Gun with the car doing the corkscrew over the broken bridge. However, there is no doubt that worldwide opinion has Sean Connery as the best – the original usually always is.
They both played Bond 007 times, somewhat poignant, – even though the last one for Sean Connery was not an official part of the series – and now they have both holstered their Walther PPK for the last time.
R.I.P. Sir Sean Connery. Untouchable? Probably.
In other news, I have decided to go with the push on Once Upon A Week and have seen the press release to be issued. Emails to reviewers have gone out today so now begins the period 40 days and 40 nights. Of what I hear you cry? Sales raining down into a flood of bibliotic proportions? Well, probably not. Still a 40 day campaign at a targeted audience, so fingers crossed. It will finish in the first couple of weeks of December – all ready for the Christmas rush.
It is Halloween tonight and I have just realised something spooky. Once Upon A Week consists of 007 stories.
